I have nearly 10 years of experience teaching piano to students of all ages, from young beginners to adults, in classical, jazz, and gospel styles. My teaching approach combines a strong musical foundation with creativity, personal expression, and individual growth. I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, skill level, and learning style, helping students develop proper technique, music reading, ear training, rhythm, and a deeper understanding of music. Beyond technical skills and performance, I believe music has the power to foster self-discovery, personal fulfillment, and healing of the soul. My goal is to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment where students can build confidence, express themselves authentically, and experience the transformative power of music through both learning and performance.

“Hyejin Kim is one of the most driven and creatively gifted musicians I have met, demonstrating an exceptional ability to interpret complex material with remarkable speed. Her musicianship combines deep respect for musical tradition with a fearless curiosity to push creative boundaries. She is a uniquely mature artist, an inspiring educator, and a formidable pianist and composer.”
– Kevin L. Harris, Professor, Piano Department, Berklee College of Music
