Tess Reed, Houston, TX native, has been studying piano and violin since the age of three years old, when she was introduced to music by her grandmother, the late Dr. Theola Booker. Tess currently attends the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance as the 2026-2027 Lynn Chang Violin Scholarship recipient. In 2024, she was selected to participate in Fortissima, an artistic and leadership development program for female-identifying high school-age participants from underrepresented minorities in classical music. She also graduated from Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts with a Distinguished Level of Achievement and Instrumental Certificate from the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA). Since 2023, she has performed in Masterclasses with Curtis Stewart, Melissa White, Rachel Barton Pine, and other premier violin virtuoses. Tess currently serves as Assistant Executive Director and Assistant Violin Instructor at the Dr. Theola Booker Fine Arts Camp in Houston, TX.
When it comes to teaching, Tess values meeting students where they are and finding a common goal when it comes to the instrument. She likes to start with the technical fundamentals to ensure longevity when playing and allow students the opportunity to have a holistic view of the instrument. After graduation, she hopes to continue spreading the joy of music to students, regardless of economic or racial background, to foster a new generation of talented classical musicians.

I’m thrilled I chose Page Music. My overall experience has been educational, relaxing and exciting. I look forward to continuing my lessons as I chase my goal of becoming a proficient, recreational musician. Thank you Page Music!!
