Samantha Williams is a pianist and composer born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. She recently graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a B.M in Contemporary Writing and Production. There, Samantha sharpened her skills in arranging, music theory, and jazz performance. In addition to her performance skills as a pianist, Samantha is an accomplished composer having worked with companies like Red Bull, PBS, Nature, and AF Creative Media.

Samantha began her musical journey in classical studies but quickly found herself drawn to the improvisational nature of jazz. She began studying the works of Red Garland, Oscar Peterson, and Bill Evans. At Berklee, she developed a love for latin jazz and ballads. To fuel this passion, she joined a trio focusing on the music of Chick Corea and Keith Jarrett. Samantha’s not only limited to jazz but has also played in wedding bands and gigs around the Boston area embracing pop, blues and R&B repertoire.

Samantha’s career has recently been centered around original composition and arrangements for jazz trios, orchestras, TV, and Media. She was chosen by Red Bull to compose original music for their album “Orchestrals II”. She was flown to Vienna, Austria to record at the world-renowned Synchron stage where she was able to work with a full 70-piece orchestra and record her music live. Most recently, Samantha composed the music for the advertising campaign of the broadway play “GIANT”, starring John Lithgow.

In her words “My goal as a teacher is to embrace students’ passions and offer a space for creativity, curiosity and fun. I want to make sure we achieve our goals while also enjoying the material we’re learning. I love translating techniques and basic knowledge into playable, musical ideas so that my students always feel stimulated, whether that be using pre-existing material or material that we write together. I have taught lots of different levels of piano students and am excited to explore what our lessons could bring!”
