Ryo Hasson is a talented multi-instrumentalist and instructor of guitar, drums, and bass. Ryo has been a student of music for over 10 years and has been teaching for over 2. As a drummer, he took private lessons for many years and gained experience playing in jazz band, marching band, pep band, and musical theater settings. While studying both drums and guitar throughout high school, Ryo decided to pursue guitar in his higher education. After receiving his Associate’s Degree in Guitar Performance, he now attends Berklee College of Music, majoring in Guitar Performance and Independent Recording and Production and a minor in the Theory of Jazz and Popular Song. While his focus is jazz and R&B, he loves all kinds of music and is able to guide students in whatever genre they might like.

In his lessons, Ryo is focused on encouraging a love of music while elevating musicianship. This means learning lots of songs that the students love and fostering good technique through these songs so the students can keep playing and enjoying music for a long time. With a deep love for harmony, he is also ready to get as deep into music theory as students are interested in. Learning an instrument is a lifelong process and Ryo is passionate about helping to guide students along this journey.
