‭ John Rogler is a cello teacher with many years of experience. His advanced knowledge of‬
 technique and musicality have helped his students take their performance skill to great‬
‭ heights. He has also taught students around the country at the Columbus State University‬
‭ Preparatory Division in Georgia, Music for Kids program in Illinois, and in Massachusetts at‬
‭ the Sharon Music Academy and the Needham Community Education program. He has taught‬
‭ a wide variety of students in many playing styles, from five year olds to senior citizens, and‬
‭ from beginners learning scales to advanced students learning concertos.‬

‭ A native of Massachusetts, John is an award winning cellist having received honors from‬
‭ Concerto Competitions in Boston, Chicago, and Atlanta, as well as prestigious Chamber‬
‭ Music competitions such as the Evanston Music Club Scholarship Competition and the‬
‭ MTNA National Championships in Las Vegas where he won runner-up with the Columbus‬
‭ String Quartet. He was named the winner of the‬‭ Ruth‬‭ Kern Young Artist Concerto‬
‭ Competition and performed as soloist on the Schumann Cello Concerto with the Atlanta‬
‭ Community Symphony Orchestra.‬

John has performed with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra at such prestigious‬
‭ venues as Sanders Theatre at Harvard University, Kresge Auditorium at MIT, and Symphony‬
‭ Hall, Boston. He has also performed throughout the United States with the Thompson Street‬
‭ Opera Company in Chicago, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra in Georgia, and toured with‬
‭ the DePaul Symphony Orchestra in Tampa and Miami, Florida. John has recorded the‬
‭ premier of many works by his father, composer Robert Rogler, including‬‭ Violoncello Sonata‬
‭ in Eb Major‬‭ and‬‭ Five Poems for Solo Violoncello‬‭ for‬‭ the album,‬‭ Where the River Falls‬‭ . He is‬
‭ a member of the DuBois Orchestra in Cambridge, Massachusetts
