Jiayi writes: “I strive for all my students to enjoy the music that they play, and feel accomplished at the end of the day. I grew up in a musical family, and didn’t have much of a choice in what kind of music fulfilled me. Pushed into classical piano early on, it took years and years of searching for me to find a direction of my own, and that’s a burden I want to eliminate for my students. Whether it’s learning classical pieces, the most iconic movie songs, your favorite Joni Mitchell song, or jazz standards, I aim to create a road map and environment that encourages you to spend your time and learn music that brings you joy.
I have multiple years of teaching experience in Boston. I’ve taught complete beginners of all ages, to students with some musical background who are eager to return and refresh their skills. If you want to deepen your music theory knowledge, alleviate the frustration of reading, learn proper hand technique, or need help to just take your first step in your musical journey, I will work with your pace and meet you where you are, and ultimately guide you to where you want to be!”
I’m thrilled I chose Page Music. My overall experience has been educational, relaxing and exciting. I look forward to continuing my lessons as I chase my goal of becoming a proficient, recreational musician. Thank you Page Music!!
