My approach to teaching drums is one that is tailored to each individual student and their needs. I strive to create an enjoyable learning experience while at the same time pushing the student to their maximum capabilities. I find that by approaching the learning process in different forms, the student is able to gain the most out of their lessons. Whether it be through reading, playing along to songs, or studying with a metronome, I am constantly looking for ways to bring fun into the relationship between the instrument and the drummer.
“Gonzalo has an outstanding development as a performer in drums, snare technique and Latin percussion. Gonzalo’s perspective and experience are a unique and welcome contribution to our culture here in the U.S.” – Brian Cole, Chancellor, University of North Carolina
