Jesse Beckett-Herbert is a multi-instrumentalist and composer from Seattle. He’s accomplished on piano, saxophone, flute and clarinet. He attended the New England Conservatory where he studied with Mark Turner, Donny Macaslin and Jerry Bergonzi. Since graduating, he has been playing and teaching in the Boston area and has performed with multiple Grammy nominated artists.

 

Jesse has been teaching private lessons since he was sixteen years old, and currently works as a teacher in the Brookline Public School system. As an educator, he strives to identify each student’s passions and develop goals that are both rewarding and challenging. Jesse uses his skills on multiple instruments to enhance his teaching, from explaining music harmony on the piano to working on improvising by investigating saxophone solos. He enjoys working within different genres, from contemporary styles to jazz, blues, and classical.
