Shane started taking classical piano lessons at age 8, and he began studying jazz at 13. He has performed at many notable Chicago venues, including Ravinia Park, Orchestra Hall, Millenium Park, and the Jazz Showcase. In 2014, Shane attended the Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music in Alberta, Canada.
Shane has been teaching for over six years, and he became an instructor at Page Music Lessons in September 2014. For the past year, Shane has also been an assistant in music theory at the NEC Prep School. Shane teaches piano, improvisation, music theory, and ear training. He specializes in jazz and classical music; however, he loves to work with students on the music that most interests them.
Shane received the Tourjée Alumni Scholarship Award at NEC and is now pursuing his Master of Music degree in Jazz Performance at NEC.
