“The lessons have jumpstarted my active practicing and playing, which was a big propose for me in taking lessons. Mat is a lovely and skillful teacher. His guidance is concrete and practical, and he infuses his instruction with larger musical context. His presence is supportive and gently rigorous, and he engages me as an agent of my own learning. ” – Marisa S.
