Born in Santiago de Chile, Daniel Bitrán plays saxophone, clarinet, guitar and also writes music. He grew up in Quito-Ecuador were he has worked with artists such as Domingo Cantinas, Alex Alvear, Gabriela Ponce, Fernando Aramis, Pies en la Tierra, Papayadada, La Mala Maña & Swing Original monks. In 2015 he released his first album “Cantos de Tierra“, a song album in collaboration with María Tejada, Grecia Alban, Mariela Condo & Loli Garcia; co-produced with Donald Régnier. He is currently studying improvisation and composition New England Conservatory with Ran Blake, Joe Morris and Stratis Minakakis.

As a teacher Daniel has taught private lessons for 5 years and coached ensembles and improvisation classes in Mozarte Conservatory (Quito). He enjoys working with both adults and kids and strives to help his students make progress on the music they love.
