“Having Dan as a teacher was an incredibly fortunate experience. He brought my musical skills up to a point that I couldn’t even have imagined when I was just starting out, expanding my knowledge of more familiar material while opening me up to things I never would have thought of. He is very patient and helpful, and he is excellent at giving a well-rounded grasp on music and all it’s uses. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.” – Oliver Beale

A guitarist since age 5, Dan – now a talented multi-instrumentalist – has been around music his whole life. Starting lessons at age 12, he eventually made his way to Berklee College of Music and graduated with a degree in Music Production and Engineering. He was featured in Guitar Center’s King of the Blues competition in 2005 and 2007, where he was selected as one of the top 9 blues guitarists in New England both times. He has since been asked by rock guitarist Gary Hoey to perform with him at his guitar clinics. Dan is a member of Mindwalk Blvd and a former member of the local rock band Crunge. Mindwalk Blvd has combined YouTube views of over 3 million and has won awards such as Best Heavy Rock/Metal act in 2010 by the Boston Music Conference.

Dan has been teaching guitar, drums, piano, bass, music theory, songwriting, and audio engineering for 8 years. He has worked with students of all ages and skill levels. Dan’s lesson plans focus on helping students identify their goals, and work on reaching their goals in a fun and effective way. Dan enjoys helping students take part in Jam Nights, where his skills on the different instruments help in the preparation process.
